Tips on Cheatgrass

    • Avoid cheat grassy areas when out walking
    • Keep weeds out of your dogs yard
    • Keep your dog well-groomed - A well groomed dog will help reduce the grass seed accumulations and make it easier to inspect
    • Inspect your dog daily, check between the toes and around the ears and face & belly
    • Clip the hair between paw pads, this will reduce the potential for picking up cheatgrass
    • If your dog is excessively sneezing, drooling, shaking their head, scratching ears, whining, licking at their paws or other body parts excessively, see you Veterinarian immediately
    • Cheatgrass that is not removed can be very painful, become infected and will most like have to be removed with surgery
